This sweet Chicago balcony proposal is hitting the blog feed today! How cute are these two?!
Michael decided that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend on their balcony of their beautiful Chicago apartment. We planned a time and I arrived to stand on the other side of the street and photograph across to get the perfect shot of “the moment”. Fun Fact: I stood across the street from their apartment for about 15minutes until “the moment”, camera in hand… I snapped a few photos of the front of their balcony/building to make sure I had my settings right and focus set for when they came out, but really just waited until they were both out there to start shooting. You would not believe the looks I got while waiting for the proposal from people walking by on the sidewalk! 😂 They definitely thought I was either a creep or a PI! haha… I kept whispering to people that I was waiting to photograph a proposal because I didn’t want anyone to call the cops on me 🤪 A few people even hung back behind me to watch and cheered when the moment actually happened, in turn, releasing me from my creep and possible private investigator labels
I loved that Michael asked me to capture his proposal on their apartment’s balcony though, I thought it was so special and sentimental, because they’ll always remember that spot and it’s so personal for them! After the proposal was over, we headed over to the Kinzie Street bridge for some photos - I always love this spot!!
We’re currently in prime engagement season, so if you find yourself wanting to pop the question and need someone to photograph the moment, I know a girl 😉 You can contact me HERE!
