Seniors! Want to make sure you have EVERYTHING you need for your photo session??
I got you!
I've been professionally photographing sessions for 11 years now and have learned a little... ok, A LOT, over the years! In fact, I'm STILL learning! After all, how would we grow if we weren't constantly taking information in and learning along the way!?
There are certain things you need, and also certain things you don't need for your senior session... and I'm here to tell you the top THREE things you need for your senior session (besides the obvious... like clothing changes, touch up make up, etc).

1. Setting Spray! Especially for hot or humid days... you'll want to keep your makeup in place! Spray before you leave and bring this in your bag for a little spritz and to help your makeup last throughout the session! I recommend All Nighter by Urban Decay (I wore this for my wedding and my makeup lasted all day long) or the Milani Make it Last spray for a more cost effective option (I currently use this now!)
2. Flyaway Tamer! The best thing I can recommend is this flyaway finishing stick I get off of Amazon! It's the best way to make sure you don't have tiny little hairs popping out at your part, or falling down from a high pony!
3. Nipple Covers. I know... AWKWARD! But we all have them! And if it's a cold day, we're probably going to see them! Or if you have a backless shirt and don't want to wear a bra, or if you want to wear a thin bralette, here's your answer! We don't want to see ugly bra straps in your photos either, so be sure to either do this or a sticky bra or strapless bra!
These 3 items listed above are linked on my Amazon Storefront! You can click the underlined item and it will take you straight to the page! Ok, while we're here...
Here are some other things you'll want to consider as well. They're the "no-brainer" items, but it's nice to have this list all together as you're compiling what you need for the big day!
1. Clothing Options!
Be sure that all of your clothes are steamed or ironed and ready to go for the big day! Don't throw them in a bag and wrinkle them back up... put them on a hanger and hang in your car or drape over the back of a seat or lay across the backseat!
Pick a few options that cover different types of outfits for your session. Bring a casual but cute option, a dressy option, and something that shows an interest like a sports uniform or jersey, or a cute shirt or hoodie with the college you'll attend on it, or even a shirt from your high school to show your love before you leave!
2. Props!
Show your interests right now by bringing props to show your love for a sport, instrument, hobby, car, etc! Let your photographer know ahead of time what you're bringing so that way they can brainstorm ways to creatively display these items.
3. Pets!
Have a furry 4 legged friend that is your bff homework buddy? Bring them along, but be sure to bring a friend or parent to help handle your pet or take them home while you're doing your photos without them.
4. Family!
Your parents would love photos with you before you head off to your next chapter of life - include siblings for a full family photo! Be sure to check with your photographer about doing this. Some photographers will allow this to be a part of your session, but some prefer to do the family portion as a separate session, or will charge an add-on for doing this during a session. I personally don't charge an add-on and love getting to incorporate family into the session!
5. Beauty, Makeup & Hair Supplies!
You'll get all dolled up before the session, but you want to make sure you stay that way, and sometimes outfit changes, heat and humidity, wind, etc will cause you to need a touch-up! Be sure to bring a hair brush, hair spray, extra lip gloss/lipstick, extra eyeliner and mascara, concealer, etc. If you're doing press-on nails (they're so popular right now!) be sure to bring extra nail glue and extra nails incase one pops off and goes missing! And if you're wearing false lashes, lash glue!
